Helping People Succeed Summer Update

Lots of exciting things are going on at Helping People Succeed (HPS)!
Firstly, White Shirt Night, held on June 16 at Taste Restaurant in Hobe Sound, was a casual and successful fundraiser. As artists painted original and colorful patterns on shirts, aprons and napkins, guests enjoyed adult libations and sumptuous passed hor d’oeuvres. There were a variety of beautifully decorated gift baskets in the Chinese Auction, many of them put together by Martin County Supervisor of Elections, Vicki Davis, who donated her time and talent to prepare them.
To soothe the aching backs and fingers of the 13 artists who participated in White Shirt Night, Treasure Coast Primary Care and Dr. Michele Libman, M.D. donated a one-hour massage, performed by licensed massage therapist, Katie Albee, to each.
Secondly, 2014 will mark the 50th anniversary of the not-for-profit and a year-long calendar of celebrations and events will mark the golden anniversary of HPS. Already hard at work plotting and planning are 2014 committee members Rob Gluckman Esq. (chair), Beth Prinze, Adrienne Moore, Patty Downing, Lynn Austin, Glenna Paris, and me [Jackie Holfelder]. There’ll be lots more to come as details are worked out. Stay tuned!
