Palm Beach Shores, Florida (October 1, 2018) – Women are grabbing their fishing poles and heading to Sailfish Marina this October 5 and 6, 2018, for Florida’s first and only all-female fishing tournament dedicated to raising money for local breast and ovarian cancer patients in financial need. This year, Bluewater Babes Charitable Trust is commemorating the organization’s 10th annual Fish for a Cure tournament with a full schedule of fishing, boat decorating, cocktail and costume contests, awards and festivities.
Fish for a Cure kicks off with an opening night party complete with dancing, raffle prizes, a Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktail contest, full buffet provided by Sailfish Marina and a “Pink Carpet” for fishing team photos. Tickets for Friday night are $60.00 to those 21 years and older which includes two drinks and the buffet. Anglers then suit up for Saturday’s costume and boat decorating contest, plus a Bluewater Babes tradition of water gun fights. The fishing tournament will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is free and open to public spectators to enjoy. Activities for the whole family include waterslides, games, grouper dogs, snow cones, live music and more. The fishing tournament will award the top three angler teams, top female angler, top team for Billfish, and an award for that lucky fisher who snatches the heaviest catch of the day. Saturday will be a full night of dancing, buffet, raffle prizes, silent auction, and an awards ceremony with the presentation of the Kristin Hoke Memorial Trophy. Fish for a Cure will commence with a special fireworks show presented by the Robinson Family and Keystone Industries.
