We counsel our patients on healthy lifestyle habits and ways to decrease the amount of medications they are taking and hopefully get them off of them altogether. Meet the Staff
Dr. Michele Libman is one of only a few south Florida physicians Board Certified in two specialities: Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York in 1993. She completed her internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Libman furthered her medical education by completing one of the top emergency medicine residencies at Jacobi Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She moved to Martin County Florida in 2000 and has practiced as an emergency room physician at Martin Memorial Hospital and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. She resides in Palm City with her husband Rob, her son Daniel, and her three dogs Jack, Casey and Stitch.
Dr. Paul A. Lowery D.O. is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been providing healthcare for the MartinCounty community for over 15 years. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the Saint Barnabas Healthcare System in Short Hills, New Jersey in 1997. Dr. Lowery is married and enjoys spending time with his wife Maria and his two daughters Kyra (9) & Reece (7). He also enjoys boating, making music and finding new places to explore.
Jacilyn Mikels ARNP, FNP-C graduated from Indian River State College in 2007 as a Registered Nurse and began her career in Nursing focusing on medical/surgical, oncology and pediatric patients. She graduated from Indian River State College with her Bachelor’s in 2009. As she continued working as a Registered Nurse, she completed her Master’s in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University and graduated in 2012 as a member of the Nursing Honor Society (Sigma Theta Tau). She enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family.
Stephanie Devaney ARNP, FNP-C Mrs. Devaney is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practioner, Board Certified in Family Practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practioners. She completed both undergraduate and graduate studies at Florida Atlantic University. She has twelve years of nursing experience in women’s health & primary care. Mrs. Devaney is a Florida native and lives in Jupiter with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Kim Buka, ARNP graduated with a Bachelors degree from Georgia College and State University in 1992. She completed her Nurse Practitioner program in 1999 while working as a hospital supervisor in Warner Robins Ga. Kim moved to Martin County in 2006 and lives in Stuart with her 2 chihuahuas and 4 parrots. She grew up in Montreal Canada and speaks fluent French. Kim has a special interest in orthopedic injuries and pediatrics.
Sofia Urra, PA-C graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida in 2011. Shortly after completing her undergraduate studies, she began the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, FL and graduated with highest honors and distinction in August 2013. Sofia has a special interest in orthopedics and endocrinology. She now resides in Port St. Lucie and enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
