Meet the Staff
Dr. Michele Libman is one of only a few south Florida physicians Board Certified in two specialities: Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York in 1993. She completed her internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Libman furthered her medical education by completing one of the top emergency medicine residencies at Jacobi Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She moved to Martin County Florida in 2000 and has practiced as an emergency room physician at Martin Memorial Hospital and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. She resides in Palm City with her husband Rob, her son Daniel, and her three dogs Jack, Casey and Stitch.
Dr. Steven W. Cohen D.O. relocated to our practice from Delray Beach, Florida. He has been practicing Family Medicine and Urgent Care in Southeast Florida since 1994. Dr. Cohen is also licensed to practice Medicine in California where he practiced for 6 years from 1998-2004. Dr. Cohen is certified in ACLS, PALS, Workers Compensation and is a “Civil Surgeon” performing Immigration Physicals. He completed his undergraduate studies at University of Florida. He received his Medical Degree from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and completed his Family Medicine Residency at NSU/Wellington Regional medical Center in West Palm Beach. Dr. Cohen is an Associate Clinic Professor at NSU and teaches medical students in clinical rotations. He has 4 children (2 girls and 2 boys) and spends his off time enjoying sports, music and vacationing/traveling with his family.
Jacilyn Mikels ARNP, FNP-C graduated from Indian River State College in 2007 as a Registered Nurse and began her career in Nursing focusing on medical/surgical, oncology and pediatric patients. She graduated from Indian River State College with her Bachelor’s in 2009. As she continued working as a Registered Nurse, she completed her Master’s in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University and graduated in 2012 as a member of the Nursing Honor Society (Sigma Theta Tau). She enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family.
Stephanie Devaney ARNP, FNP-C Mrs. Devaney is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practioner, Board Certified in Family Practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practioners. She completed both undergraduate and graduate studies at Florida Atlantic University. She has twelve years of nursing experience in women’s health & primary care. Mrs. Devaney is a Florida native and lives in Jupiter with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Kim Buka, ARNP graduated with a Bachelors degree from Georgia College and State University in 1992. She completed her Nurse Practitioner program in 1999 while working as a hospital supervisor in Warner Robins Ga. Kim moved to Martin County in 2006 and lives in Stuart with her 2 chihuahuas and 4 parrots. She grew up in Montreal Canada and speaks fluent French. Kim has a special interest in orthopedic injuries and pediatrics.
