What is urgent care?
Treasure Coast Urgent and Family Care is a walk in facility where no appointment is needed to see a doctor. Urgent care is treatment for an urgent medical problem that is not life threatening. We are a convenient, and cost effective alternative to waiting for hours in the emergency room. If you have a regular physician you should always call them first, but if they are unable to see you, we are available.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a photo ID and an insurance card with you.
Who will care for me?
Dr. Libman is one of only a handful of physicians in the area Board Certified in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. In addition, there are certified medical assistants and nurse practitioners who may be involved in your care. All of our staff members have extensive experience in the medical field.
How long will I have to wait?
Patients are seen on a first come-first served basis. Every attempt is made to see you as quickly as possible, however wait times are based on the number of people seeking care as well as the seriousness of their condition. Most patients are seen within 30 minutes.
How much will my visit cost?
Depending on the severity of your problem you can expect to pay from $111 to $170 for a visit. Additional fees apply for x-rays, EKG’s, immunizations, surgical procedures, labs and other services. All co-payments and other payments are required at the time medical services are provided.
What happens after I leave Treasure Coast Urgent and Family Care?
You will be advised about all follow-up procedures and notified about any abnormal lab work or x-rays. We will help you schedule an appointment with a specialist if deemed necessary. A copy of your records can be forwarded to your primary care physician, who can provide any necessary follow up care.
Can I use Treasure Coast Urgent and Family Care as my primary doctor?
Since Dr. Libman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, she is qualified to be your primary physician. However, your insurance company might require you only use our facility for urgent care purposes. Please check with the receptionist and she will advise you on your individual situation.
When should I go to the Emergency Room?
You should go to the emergency room with any life threatening problem such as chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe burns or poisonings. If you are unsure you can call our office and our nursing staff will advise you what to do.
